Hi friends and happy first Saturday of Spring!
How are you all doing? This week has been very strange for me. I first heard about Covid-19 back in December when my VIPKID students in China started their quarantine. Throughout the holiday season, my role as a teacher involved listening to my students share their experiences of being quarantine, fearing they or someone they knew would contract the virus, missing their friends, and questioning if this pandemic would ever go away. While I knew this virus was powerful enough to shut down a country, not until last week did its magnitude really hit me.
This week has been a roller-coaster of emotions. I’ve felt fear, anger, frustration, sadness, but above all, I’ve felt tremendous hope. I’m still trying to process everything that’s happening globally and how I’ve been feeling, as I’m sure you all are too. Today I really wanted to share my thoughts but I’m not ready to put them into words yet. All of our experiences of living this pandemic are unique. I’ve loved seeing friends of mine share that they’re finding a whole new appreciation for teachers, that they’re noticing the sunset and sunrise, that they’re finally tasting their morning coffee instead of quickly rushing out the door, that they’re eating together as a family…etc.
My hope for you during this time of uncertainty is that you find peace in the stillness around you + that you embrace those simple everyday things that are often missed when we’re living at 100mph. Take this time to learn something new about each of your family members, find a new genre of music to inspire you, try new recipes, sleep-in, open your favorite book and read it from cover-to-cover, most importantly, stay safe and healthy <3

This Week On Life With Lovely
While there are not any new posts on Life with Lovely this week, you’ve probably noticed we have a whole new website! I’m so excited to share this new website design with you! I’ve been working on this design all week, and while I’m not entirely done, I was too excited to wait to share it with you. I hope you like it so far 🙂 My goal is to make it easy to use and easy to find the inspiration you’re looking for. This week you might find some buttons or links that aren’t working yet like the shop pages or Letter From The Editor – don’t worry, I’m on it. I’ll be updating those this week. This week I’ll also be focusing on a lot of home content to get us through our quarantine.
